Ralf Strauss Gay Art - Mixed Media - Men in Their Different Diversity
Ralf Strauss lives and works in rural Rheinland-Pfalz, in Germany. As a child he wanted to be a painter, then he first became gay, then a student, then a graduate psychologist and later an intermedia art therapist as well as a self-taught freelance painter and digital photo artist. In his own words:
"In addition to many other topics, I continue to show myself in love with the varied and colorful depictions of queer images of men. In addition to a large number of smaller exhibitions, my works have already been shown at the „European Male Art Meeting“ 2013 and the Queer go area at the „Lichtmeile 2018” in Mannheim.
The perception and representation of the world and of myself in the world has infinite creative images, that also change again and again. - In my lifetime, previously created works can complement, redesign or reinvent themselves - a change can permeate, stimulate and renew content. In my creative work I play with this motif from time to time - individual images are created through a process of change on the canvas or a drawing undergoes a metamorphosis through digital photo processing. I allow the images of men in their different diversity to change in the real world and in analogue and digital artistic processing. Like myself and my companions, some works are also allowed to reinvent themselves over and over again."
